Caracterización del comportamiento del virus Zika durante el periodo de enero a diciembre de 2017 en el Policlínico “26 de Julio”

Resumen
Objetivos: Describir los casos de Zika por grupos de edades, sexo y síntomas. Analizar los casos confirmados por consultorios, así como analizar por meses los casos sospechosos y confirmados de Zika
Resultados: En nuestro estudio prevalecen los pacientes del sexo femenino y el grupo de edad desde 20 hasta 44 años en ambos sexos. Los síntomas más comunes encontrados fueron rash, prurito y artralgias o mialgias y los consultorios médicos de mayor riesgo para la trasmisión de la enfermedad fueron el 6, 13 y 14. Siendo enero, marzo, mayo y septiembre los meses de mayor incidencia de presentación de la infección por el virus.
Conclusiones:
La infección por el virus Zika en nuestra área tuvo un comportamiento diferencial en cuanto al sexo y el grupo etario. Los pacientes mostraron un grupo de síntomas que se manifestaron unos con más frecuencia que otros, así como se detectaron consultorios médicos que poseen un alto riesgo para la trasmisión de la enfermedad. Por otra parte, se determinó que durante todo el año hay meses en los que la incidencia de la infestación se hace más evidente en toda la zona.
